Raw Signals

Raw signals

Stytch Device Fingerprinting synthesizes raw device attributes, such as browser type and screen size, to provide clear recommendations on how to handle a user action. You can rely on the recommended actions and verdict reasons alone to decide whether to ALLOW, BLOCK, or CHALLENGE a user. However, if you have a dedicated fraud team and existing risk detection model, you may want to use Stytch Device Fingerprinting as an input to your model. Our raw signals feature provides the raw device attributes that you can plug into your existing systems.

If your workspace is enabled for the raw signals feature, a raw_signals object will be returned as part of the Fingerprint Lookup response. All the fields documented below are nullable, as they may or may not be present depending on the platform architecture.

Restricted content: Access to this full documentation page is limited to Stytch Device Fingerprinting customers who have access to the raw signals feature. To view it, log into your existing customer account or request access to the product.

If you already have access to Stytch Device Fingerprinting and you'd like to request access to the raw signals feature, reach out to support@stytch.com or directly to your account manager.
